Project overview

Bathen Studio is built on texture, restraint, and intention. The work centers on original large-format artwork made with professional grade plaster and sculptural compounds, applied by hand and finished with a protective seal that holds for years. Every commission is conceived, crafted, and delivered as a singular work, with no reproductions and no inventory. Each piece is designed specifically for the space it enters, shaped by light, material, and the conversations that surround it. The studio currently accepts commissions for both residential and commercial projects.

Challenges

Large-format texture work asks for patience the rest of design rarely allows. Each piece is built slowly, layer by layer, until the surface earns the right to sit on a wall for decades. The challenge is balancing material instinct with the specifics of a space, the way afternoon light falls across a room, the tone of the floors, the rhythm of the architecture, and translating all of it into a single work that feels inevitable once installed. Every commission begins with a conversation and ends only when the piece holds the room without effort.

Results

Bathen Studio holds a growing body of commissioned work across residential and commercial spaces, including projects in Sugar Land, Caliche Hour, Lunar Heights, and Pila Montoya. Each piece is one of one, built with twenty plus years of perfecting the craft behind it, and made to last. The studio gives the work a permanent home and gives clients an original artwork they can point to and say was made for this exact space. Commissions are currently open and the studio continues to grow with each new piece.
